Newsletter form

The newsletter type form can be used to collect email addresses from website visitors, for example for your newsletter or new content alerts.

To start collecting subscribers, navigate to the top panel in your canvas. Select the Form icon and click on Form.

With the form selected, open the Settings tab on the right-hand side. On Type, select Newsletter, under Type, you will select the email marketing provider. At the moment, Ycode only offers MailerLite as an ESP to connect.

You’ll then need to add the API key. Follow these instructions to find the API key in MailerLite.

Now choose the subscriber group you want to add the new signups to. If you leave this field empty, each new subscriber will be added to the general contact list.

Next up we need to create a workflow so that when the button is clicked, the data is added to the database.

Now we have to create a workflow for our form Button element, the workflow we want to create is under Data -> Submit form. You can follow up with another workflow event Other -> Send email this way when the form Button is clicked the email will be added to our provider and we will be sent an email informing us of the new addition. We recommend checking our workflow documentation if you have any questions.

You can give your Button element an ID name, then navigate to the Workflows tab on the left-hand side. In this view, click on + Create workflow and select Click here to add an event. Then choose Elements followed by Clicked, finally, select the element ID.

Then click on Click here to add an event once more and select Data followed by Submit form. Finally, name your workflow and click on Create workflow. You're done!

You can also simply right-click on the Button element and select Create page workflow, with this the element will be assigned a random ID name and you simply need to follow the previous step.

Now let's create a contact form
