Rich-text
You can use rich-text elements to add long-format texts anywhere on your website.
Adding rich-text
Select the Rich-text element in the top panel under the T icon. A placeholder will appear automatically. Double-click the element to start editing. Whenever you want to start a new paragraph, simply press Enter.
Keep in mind: If you're pasting text from another source, paste it as plain text. This will remove any formatting that can interfere with how your text is displayed. Prepare your text outside of Ycode by using a plain text editor such as Notepad for Windows or TextEdit for Mac.
Formatting text
Formatting text gives your copy structure, which helps you to organize and present your copy better.
To format your text, highlight the text part you want to edit. You’ll see a toolbar pop up. In this toolbar you can select different formatting to apply.
Formatting options:
Bold
Italics
Link
Strikethrough
Underline
Headings
Bulleted and numbered list
Quote
Text as code
Styling text
Design changes are applied to all the text group layers inside the rich-text elements. For example: if you change the color of one H2, all other H2’s will follow.
Styling options:
Sizing
Spacing
Typography
Background color
Borders
Position
Effects
Transforms
Troubleshooting
If you copy and paste content directly into the rich-text editor from programs like Microsoft Word or Google Docs, it might contain hidden styling that interferes with Ycode’s formatting. If you notice any issues with spacing or headings in the pasted text, try pasting the text without formatting.
