Creating and editing pages

Create pages for your websiite and make dynamic content such as blog posts with CMS pages.

When starting a new project, the Homepage (index page) is the first page you see. This non-deletable page serves as the starting point for your website.

Creating a page

To create new page click + button.

Ycode offers 2 types of pages to organize your project:

Web Pages

  • Designed for building and publishing standalone pages for your website.

  • Acts as a sitemap, providing the overall structure and navigation of your site.

  • Ideal for static pages like Home, About, or Contact.

CMS Pages

  • Automatically generated from CMS content.

  • Use collections (e.g., blogs, updates, or events) to manage and display individual entries dynamically.

  • Each collection has its own design canvas, allowing customization of specific layouts, such as blog post templates or product pages.

  • Changes in the CMS automatically update across all linked pages, saving time on manual edits.

Folders

  • Help organize website slug structures for better URL hierarchy.

  • Example: A folder /company/ can house pages like /about and /contact, creating paths like /company/about and /company/contact.

  • Improve SEO by structuring URLs logically.

  • Enhance project organization by grouping related pages under a single folder.

Editing a page

Hover over a page to reveal a three-dot icon. Click this icon or right-click on the page to access a menu with additional options:

  • Page settings.

  • Duplicate the page along with all its content.

  • Delete the page.
