Embedding external content

Embedding external content in your Ycode projects allows you to enhance your website with videos, social media posts, maps, documents, and more from other platforms. This helps create engaging, dynamic web pages without hosting all media directly on your site.

How to Embed External Content

Ycode provides an Embed block that you can add anywhere on your canvas. Follow these steps to embed external content:

  1. Add an Embed Block: In the editor toolbar, select the Embed element to place a container on your page.

  2. Paste Your Embed Code: Double-click the Embed block and paste the HTML embed code or URL provided by external services (e.g., YouTube videos, Google Maps).

  3. Customize the Size and Placement: Resize and move the Embed block to fit your design.

  4. Save Automatically: Your changes save instantly as you paste the code.

Supported Types of Embedded Content

  • Videos from YouTube, Vimeo, and other platforms.

  • Social media posts from Instagram, Twitter, Facebook.

  • Interactive maps via Google Maps or similar.

  • Documents such as Google Docs or Slides.

  • Other embeddable content that provides HTML embed codes or shareable URLs.

Important Guidelines

  • Embed code must be under 10,000 characters.

  • Avoid using , , or <script></script> tags in embed code as they may break your page.

  • Ensure the external content provider allows embedding on third-party sites.

  • Check for proper security and privacy compliance in embedded content.
